Fed: Bishop under pressure over treasury role - report

Deputy Liberal leader JULIE BISHOP is facing pressure to step down as shadow treasurer.

Party sources have told the Sydney Morning Herald there's an almost unanimous view
that Ms BISHOP .. should step aside before the May 12 budget.

According to sources .. if Ms BISHOP resists moving aside to another senior portfolio
she'll face a spill for the deputy leadership.

The Herald reports finance spokesman JOE HOCKEY or infrastructure and emissions trading
spokesman ANDREW ROBB would replace Ms BISHOP.
